Arlington Heights, IL (December 15, 2017) — Professional Builder is adding an exciting new presentation—Show Village Live—to its annual Show Village neighborhood during the National Association of Home Builders’ (NAHB) International Builders’ Show/KBIS 2018, January 9-11, in Orlando.
Show Village Live streaming interviews will be conducted on the back porch of the Modern home at scheduled times on Tuesday and Wednesday, Jan. 9 and 10. Sponsored by Western Window Systems, Show Village Live will feature Professional Builder’s Sales Director Adam Grubb interviewing newsmakers from NAHB, along with builders, architects, designers, and product manufacturers. Viewers of Building Science videos on visit ProBuilder.com and BDCnetwork.com are familiar with Grubb’s skillful, informative interviews.
In addition to sponsoring Show Village Live, Western Window Systems is supplying its new Series 7600 Multi-Slide door in all three of the hands-on, products-at-work homes featured in Show Village 2018. The company also is providing all windows and doors for the Modern Home and will be showcasing its products in its custom-built sales area in Show Village.
Established in 1959, Western Window Systems has its own state-of-the-art showplace in its new headquarters and manufacturing facility in Phoenix, AZ. The company’s moving glass walls and windows address energy and structural issues while promoting contemporary design as they integrate indoor and outdoor living areas.
Each year during IBS/KBIS, Professional Builder partners with homebuilders, designers, and product manufacturers to create three technology showcases on the parking lot outside the Orange County Convention Center. Nightly block parties encourage show attendees to network, tour the homes and talk with the manufacturing partners.
Show Village 2018 will feature the LaBelle transitional 2,655-square-foot home, with three bedrooms, two baths, a pass-through window from the kitchen to the family room, and the Series 7600 Multi-Slide Door, which integrates the screened-in porch, fireplace, and outdoor kitchen.
The Atrium, at 1,233 square feet, is a small-footprint home that is large on amenities, incorporating downtown loft-style elements. Multi-slide doors on the home’s front and the back expand entertaining areas and vistas. Its master bedroom suite incorporates a whirlpool and freestanding tub.
The LaBelle and Atrium homes are built by Palm Harbor Homes of Plant City, FL, one of the nation’s largest builders of manufactured and modular homes.
The Modern, a 1,803-square-foot home, is built by Nationwide Homes, located throughout the Southeast. One wing houses the master bedroom suite, with its wardrobe gallery and floating wall. The other features two bedrooms and shared bath. The Series 7600 Multi-Slide Door off the great room leads to a massive deck that runs across both wings.
All three homes have been uniquely designed to deliver energy efficiency and clever use of space, and they offer show attendees multiple “wow” moments, with center-of-the-universe kitchens and liberal use of coordinating woods, metals, stone, and vibrant finishes.
