Arlington Heights, IL (July 28, 2015) — The American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) announced the winners of its 2015 Azbee National Awards on July 24 at a banquet in New York City, and its 2015 Azbee Upper Midwest Regional Awards winners on July 17 in Chicago. Scranton Gillette Communications (SGC)/SGC Horizon brands brought home a total of four national awards and seven regional awards in this annual recognition of excellence in print and digital magazines, newsletters, websites, blogs and social media.

Two SGC Horizon brands captured Gold in both the National and Upper Midwest Regional awards in their categories, including: Building Design+Construction for its “Daily 5” e-newsletter in the E-newsletter – General Excellence category, and Construction Equipment for its “Buying File” in the Product Section/Department category. Professional Builder won a Silver National Award and a Gold Regional Award for its “Small Builder Wins Big” article in the Editorial – Case History category, and Professional Builder also won a Bronze National Award and a Gold Regional Award for its Monthly Column by Scott Sedam in the Regular Column, Contributed category. Professional Builder brought home a Silver Regional Award for its “Housing Giants 2014” report in the Original Research category.

Two SGC brands were Upper Midwest Regional Award winners in two separate categories: Residential Lighting took Gold for its Social Media Pages in the Social Media Presence category, and Roads & Bridges took Bronze for its Bridge Rescue articles in the Feature Series category.
