Neal Award Finalist nods in different categories: Best Technical Content for its podcast “7 Minutes of BS—Building Science With a Beat;” Best Instructional Content for its “Window Installation Guide;” and Best Use of a Video/Webcast for its animated details and jobsite videos. was launched in June 2015 by SGC Horizon’s Professional Remodeler editorial team as a remodeler’s in-hand best-practices and how-to resource. Its unique collection of curated and original content includes videos, animations, photo galleries, construction drawings, articles and podcasts. All content is optimized for delivery to mobile devices for access on the jobsite.

The Jesse H. Neal Award, hosted by the Software & Information Industry Association, formerly the Association of Business Information & Media (ABM), is recognized as the “Pulitzer Prize of the business press.” Established in 1955, the awards are named after ABM’s first managing director who promoted the business press throughout his life.

Ten Scranton Gillette Communications/SGC Horizon brands tallied 2017 Neal Award Finalist honors in eight categories. The winners, selected for exhibiting journalistic enterprise, service to the industry and editorial craftsmanship, will be announced on March 31, at the New York City awards luncheon.
