Arlington Heights, IL (October 1, 2020) — Folio: magazine, a leading B2B publication serving the magazine industry, recognized Pro Builder with a 2020 Ozzie Award for Outstanding Redesign – B2B.
Folio:’s annual Ozzie and Eddie awards celebrate consumer and business-to-business publications for excellence in creating beautiful design and engaging content, respectively. Judges selected this year’s winners and honorable mentions after reviewing thousands of entries from across the country.
Pro Builder’s Ozzie Award recognizes the redesign of the magazine, commencing with the January 2020 issue. Led by designer Larry Nigh and the Pro Builder editorial team, the redesign simplified not only the magazine’s name, from Professional Builder to Pro Builder, but also the appearance of features and departments, resulting in a cleaner, easier-to-read presentation. Subtle shifts in the staff’s approach to content have allowed for more timely reporting of data and a wider variety of voices and perspectives.
“From a less formal title and logo to a streamlined appearance and more versatile and flexible reporting opportunities, Pro Builder’s redesign delivers a more compelling presentation,” said Denise Dersin, Editorial Director of Pro Builder. “The result is a publication that better serves our readers, which is always the goal.”
Along with Nigh and Dersin, Pro Builder team members include Rich Binsacca, Editor-in-Chief; Ingrid Bush, Content Manager; Mike Beirne, Senior Editor; Nigel Maynard, Editor, Products; and Annie Cebulski and Caroline Broderick, Associate Editors.
