Neal Award finalists, with SGC/SGC Horizon brands tallying 10 finalist recognitions. The brands earning this prestigious recognition are Building Design+Construction, Professional Builder, Professional Remodeler, Construction Equipment, Imaging Technology News and Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiology.

The winners, selected for exhibiting journalistic enterprise, service to the industry and editorial craftsmanship, will be announced on March 31, at the New York City awards luncheon. 

Professional Remodeler/ProRemodeler.com is a three-time finalist for its ProTradeCraft.com instructional website, including: Best Technical Content for its “7 Minutes of BS—Building Science With a Beat;” Best Instructional Content for its “Window Installation Guide;” and Best Use of a Video/Webcast for its animated details and jobsite videos.

Building Design+Construction/BDCnetwork.com is a two-time finalist in two different categories, including Best Instructional Content for its BDCUniversity continuing education courses; and in the Best Single Issue category for its January “Game Changers” 2016 issue.

Professional Builder/ProBuilder.com has two finalist nods: in the Best Series category for its “America’s Trade Shortage;” and in the Best Subject-Related Integrated Package category for its Special Report: “Housing Giants.”

Construction Equipment/ConstructionEquipment.com is a finalist in the Best Instructional Content category for its Executive Institute columns. 

Both SGC Healthcare brands were named as finalists in two different categories: Imaging Technology News/ITNonline.com in the Best Commentary/Blog category for “How Radiology Can Put the Patient First;” and Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiology in the Best Use of Social Media for its extensive social media campaign in cardiology.  

The Jesse H. Neal Award is recognized as the “Pulitzer Prize of the business press.” Established in 1955, the awards are named after ABM’s first managing director, who promoted the business press throughout his life.
