Arlington Heights, IL (December 20, 2016) — The National Association of Home Builders’ (NAHB) Leading Supplier Council and media partners Professional Builder and Custom Builder magazines will welcome International Builders’ Show (IBS) and Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) attendees for a walkthrough of The New American Home 2017 (TNAH) when the show opens in Orlando, January 10-12. The 34th home in the TNAH series is located in Orlando’s upscale Lake Nona community, and was designed and constructed by architect and builder Phil Kean, of Phil Kean Design Group in Winter Park, FL.
The 8,245-square-foot New American Home features single-level living with five bedrooms in a “pod house” design, where enclosed breezeways connect guest suites to the main living area and spaces can be customized, or closed off as needed for energy efficiency. An endless expanse of glass walls in a contemporary, white exterior present unobstructed views of the pool, pond and lush greenery.
This stunning home boasts an oversized great room, private master suite with a spa-like bath, a 2,000-square-foot roof terrace, and a patio/courtyard entry with comfortable seating and a putting green. Incorporating the latest green and sustainable building materials and products, TNAH is a healthy home that delivers sensational quality of life while reducing its impact on the environment. Energy-saving and capturing devices, including rooftop solar panels, store enough juice in Tesla batteries to power the entire house, helping to make the home net zero.
Complimentary shuttle buses will be provided for registered IBS/KBIS attendees to tour the New American Home. Attendees may pick up tickets at NAHB’s New American Home booth at IBS.
