Arlington Heights, IL (February 4, 2015) — The Association of Business Information & Media Companies (ABM) recently announced the 2015 Jesse H. Neal Award finalists, with Scranton Gillette Communication’s (SGC) THE DIAPASON named as one of four finalists in the Best News Story category for the September 2014 issue’s “The 2014 Ivory Trade and Movement Restrictions: New Regulations and Their Effects” article. The winners, selected for exhibiting journalistic enterprise, service to the industry and editorial craftsmanship, will be announced on March 27 at the New York City awards ceremony.
Founded in 1909, THE DIAPASON is in its second century as a monthly print resource for product information and news dedicated to the organ, harpsichord, carillon, and church music, with a primary focus on the pipe organ. ABM’s Jesse H. Neal Award is recognized as the “Pulitzer Prize of the business press.” Established in 1955, the awards are named after ABM’s first managing director, who promoted the business press throughout his life.
