Arlington Heights, IL (October 16, 2014) — SGC Horizon’s Professional Remodeler is pleased to welcome Sal Alfano as the new editorial director of Professional Remodeler. Alfano will be responsible for overseeing the content and development of the monthly publication, its website ProRemodeler.com, its digital products and leading events.
From 2001-2014, Alfano served as the editorial director of the Residential Remodeling Group at Hanley Wood Business Media, where he won 10 prestigious Jesse H. Alfano has been a force in the construction industry since 1972, when he first learned carpentry skills. In 1977, he joined one of the first residential design-build firms in the country, where he served as project manager on new custom homes and remodeling projects, and helped pioneer energy-efficient construction practices. “Sal Alfano offers that rare combination of elite editorial talent and actual boots-in-the-sawdust remodeling experience,” says Tony Mancini, SGC Horizon Building Group Director-Principal. “He knows first-hand the business challenges that remodelers can face, and he knows how to write with clarity about solutions.”
