Arlington Heights, IL (October 14, 2014) — SGC Horizon’s Professional Builder magazine, the leading media brand for the nation’s homebuilders since 1936, announces the promotion of Professional Builder Editor-in-Chief Denise Dersin to editorial director. Dersin will be responsible for overseeing the content and development of Professional Builder and Custom Builder, as well as related websites, ProBuilder.com and HousingZone.com, digital products and leading events.
Dersin joined the SGC Horizon Building Group in 2013 after serving for 10 years in a similar capacity at Hanley Wood’s Builder magazine, where she led many key editorial initiatives for the building industry. In her 25-year career as an editor, she has won numerous editorial awards, including four Jesse H. Neal Awards.
