Arlington Heights, IL (July 30, 2014) — Building Design+Construction (BD+C) magazine was honored by the American Society of Business Publication Editors with two 2014 AZBEE National Awards for editorial and design excellence at the 36th Annual National Conference on July 25, 2014, in Chicago.
Building Design+Construction captured the AZBEE Gold National Award in the Editorial Excellence Feature Series category for its “Outpatient Facilities Series” in the February and September 2013 issues. The award was presented to BD+C Senior Editor Julie S. Higginbotham, Chief Editor David Barista, and Designer Elena Mengarelli.
BD+C also took home the AZBEE Silver National Award in the Graphics Excellence Contents Page or Pages category for its July 2013 Table of Contents — Giants300 issue, designed by Elena Mengarelli.
In the past 11 years, Building Design+Construction has amassed a total of 47 awards for editorial and design excellence: four Jesse H. Neal National Awards and eight Jesse H. Neal National Finalist Awards from American Business Media; 14 Regional and 11 National AZBEE Awards from the American Society of Business Publication Editors, including the National Magazine of the Year Top 10 in 2010 and 2013; an EDDIE Award from FOLIO: Magazine; and nine Construction Writers Association awards.
Sister publications Professional Remodeler and Construction Equipment also captured 2014 AZBEE National Awards for editorial excellence.
