Arlington Heights, IL (November 11, 2014) — From more than 2,800 entries, a panel of 300+ judges has named four Scranton Gillette Communications/SGC Horizon brands as finalists for the 2014 Eddie and Ozzie Awards. The annual competition, hosted by Folio:, recognizes the best in editorial and design among national and international publications.

The SGC Horizon brand Professional Builder was named in the B-to-B Series of Articles (General Interest) category for its May 2014 “Housing Giants: Special Report. The SGC brands named as B-to-B finalists include: the Horticulture Division’s Lawn & Garden Retailer (L&GR), January 2014 issue, for Full Issue Retail, and Greenhouse Product News (GPN), July 2013 issue, for Full Issue Agriculture/Farming; and the Design Division’s Residential Lighting for Overall Use of Social Media. All four brands have been consistent winners of the prestigious Folio: Eddie Awards.

The Eddies recognize editorial excellence and the Ozzies honor excellence in magazine design. The 2014 winners and honorable mentions will be announced on December 11, during a breakfast event at the Yale Club in New York City.
