Arlington Heights, IL (October 16, 2014) — Construction Equipment magazine’s Editorial Director Rod Sutton received a 2014 Robert F. Boger Award from the Construction Writers Association for his March 2013 editorial, “Sutton Report: No Silver Bullet.” Senior Editor Frank Raczon was honored with his second consecutive Boger Award for his blog, “About that Request.” Earlier in the year, Raczon received a 2014 Gold AZBEE Regional Award and a 2014 Silver National AZBEE Award for Editorial Excellence from the American Society of Business Publication Editors.
Both Sutton and Raczon have contributed multiple award recognitions to Construction Equipment’s total of 112 journalism awards in a 31-year period.
Rod Sutton is only the sixth editorial director in the publication’s long history, since it was founded in 1949. A business journalist for 30 years, he has helmed the CE editorial team since 2001 and captured numerous editorial awards during his tenure. Sutton serves on the board of directors for the Association of Equipment Management Professionals (AEMP) and its Educational Foundation, and chairs its Editorial Committee.
Frank Raczon has a distinguished 25-year history in marketing communications and journalism in the construction industry. He captured the CWA’s first blog award in 2013 and is the only journalist to garner both a Marketing Communications award and a Journalism award from CWA.
