Remodeler trade publication also boosts circulation by 20K to 83,000+
Arlington Heights, IL (Jan. 20, 2011) – Professional Remodeler magazine today announced that the co- chairman of Case Design Remodeling Inc., Mark Richardson, has agreed to be a columnist for the magazine beginning with the March 2011 issue. Additionally, Richardson will write a column for six-time sister publication Custom Builder.
The partnership between Richardson, a member of the NAHB Remodeling Hall of Fame and an Affiliate at Harvard University’s Joint Center for Housing Studies, is broad-based. In addition to his Professional Remodeler columns, Richardson will produce original web-based content on HousingZone.com, including webinars, videos and blog posts. A frequent industry speaker on the themes of entrepreneurship and business excellence, Richardson also will appear on behalf of the magazine at events around the country.
“Mark Richardson’s accomplishments in the remodeling and building industries speak for themselves. There is no other individual with the same resume and stature,” says Tony Mancini, Group Director and Partner with SGC Horizon LLC, the parent company for Professional Remodeler magazine. “The addition of Mark’s voice to our magazines and Web site will have a positive impact on our readers. At the same time, we see this as a strong vote of confidence in our vision as a B2B publishing company.”
“The future growth of the remodeling and home building industries is highly contingent on all players in the market, including associations, suppliers, distributors and publishers, to work together and partner,” says Richardson. “The industry must embrace innovation in all areas, from the widest possible set of players. I think the team at Professional Remodeler understands this and sees it as the best way forward. I sincerely look forward to writing, speaking and contributing to the magazine beginning in March.”
Vastly Expanded Reach
Professional Remodeler magazine also announced that beginning with its January 2011 issue, it has expanded its circulation to more than 83,000 readers, an increase of approximately 20,000 readers. The move required significant investment on the part of SGC Horizon LLC, but is one that fits well with the magazine’s goal of serving all segments of the remodeling industry, including a deep focus on exterior replacement firms.
Richardson is the author of the best-selling book, “How Fit is Your Business,” and a forthcoming book “Business Themes to Live By” to be published this fall. He began his remodeling career at Case Construction Co. in 1980 with a degree in architecture from Virginia Tech University. An early champion of the design/build model of business in remodeling, Richardson helped grow the Case organization to a national organization generating over $50 million in installed volume annually.
Professional Remodeler magazine is owned by SGC Horizon LLC, based in Arlington Heights, IL. The magazine is also found on the Web at www.housingzone.com.
