Arlington Heights, IL (May 20, 2014) — Professional Builder magazine, the nation’s leading business publication for the home building industry, announced the 2014 rankings of the nation’s largest builders in its May issue’s 2014 Housing Giants Report. An online list of the rankings has just been released on www.ProBuilder.com.

The annual Housing Giants Report is a service Professional Builder has delivered to its 117,000-member audience for more than four decades. The ability to sort the list online is a new feature introduced this year. Online visitors can sort the data by rank, previous rank, company name, revenue and closings. The enhanced online list also provides additional information on each of the 293 ranked companies. Clicking on an individual company launches a profile page with detailed company information, including what and where the company builds.

D. R. Horton Inc., Fort Worth, Texas, posted $6.4 billion in revenue in 2013, making it the top-grossing home builder in both new home revenue and closings, repeating its No. 1 ranking from 2012. PulteGroup Inc., Bloomfield Hills, Mich, again ranked second for its 2013 revenue generation. Lennar Corp., Miami, Fla., ranked third in revenue and second in units closed.

Additional 2014 Housing Giants coverage in print and online includes “Housing Giants Overview and Analysis,” “In Pursuit of Capital,” “The Long Road to Energy Efficiency,” and “The Resurrection of Orleans Homebuilders.”
