Arlington Heights, IL (November 18, 2013) — The call for papers for the 2nd annual BUILDINGChicago/Greening the Heartland Expo and Conference will go out on January 20, 2014. The event will take place September 29-October 1, 2014, at North America’s largest LEED Gold-certified hotel, the Holiday Inn Chicago Mart Plaza.

The inaugural BUILDINGChicago/Greening the Heartland Conference & Expo, held in September 2013, drew more than 500 attendees from 27 states and was jointly produced by Building Design+Construction magazine, published by SGC Horizon, along with the U.S. Green Building Council — Midwest Chapters, the Greening the Heartland Committee, and AIA Chicago, with additional support from the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce and the Builders Association (AGC).

The 2013 conference hosted 74 accredited sessions, selected from a total of 442 submissions. The educational platform focused on green building with session tracks that included Building Information Modeling (BIM), developments in Healthcare and Universities, and Tips on Energy Savings.
