Water & Wastes Digest Honored with Two Jesse H. Neal Award Nominations for Journalistic Excellence

Palatine, IL (April 7, 2022) – Scranton Gillette Communications is thrilled to announce that its publication Water & Wastes Digest has been nominated for two coveted Jesse H Neal award nominations. These awards are the most prestigious editorial honors in the field of specialized journalism. Named after Jesse H. Neal, the first managing director of American Business Media, the Neal Awards were established in 1955 to reward editorial excellence and recognize the best of the best in the business journalism industry.

Water & Wastes Digest was nominated for the awards within the category of publications with brand revenue of less than $3,000,000 per year. One nomination was for Best Media Brand, for overall editorial excellence, and the other was for Best Range of Work by a Single Author.

In announcing the nominations, Water & Waste Digest Senior Managing Editor Bob Crossen stated, “This is an enormous accomplishment by our entire team, and would not have happened without the excellent support of our designers, fellow editors, and internal support groups. This recognition proves we are among the best there is – and not just in the water industry.”

Water & Wastes Digest was previously a two-time finalist for a Jesse H. Neal Award in the Best Subject-Related Package category, and won that award in 2018 for its coverage of Hurricane Harvey.

“I congratulate the team at Water & Wastes Digest for being nominated once again for two of these outstanding industry awards,” added Ryan Hanson, Senior Vice President Scranton Gillette Communications. “We are so proud of the team at Water & Wastes Digest and their hard work and continued achievements to ensure that their readers are given the greatest possible value on a consistent basis, year after year.”
