Four Scranton Gillette Communications Brands Named as Finalists for 2020 Azbee Awards

Arlington Heights, IL (March 20, 2020) — Four Scranton Gillette Communications (SGC) brands were named finalists for the 2020 Azbee Awards of Excellence. Hosted by the American Society of Business Publication Editors, the annual Azbee Awards recognize the outstanding editorial and design work by business-to-business, trade, association, and professional publications. A panel of judges selected finalists from more than 1,000 entries.

Roads & Bridges was named a regional finalist in the New or Relaunched Website category, honoring the redesign of ( by team members Brian W. Budzynski, Tim Bruns, Jazmin Huerta and Joe Ausdenmoore.

Traffic & Transit received regional finalist honors in the Print-Special Supplement category, for its Spring 2019 issue, created by Brian W. Budzynski, Tim Bruns, and Catherine LePenske.

ASBPE named Water & Wastes Digest a regional finalist in the Online Breaking News Coverage category for “Henry Pratt Company Shooting,” a series of articles by Bob Crossen, Cristina Tuser and Sara Myers following an active shooter situation at a valve manufacturer in Illinois.

Water Quality Products’ Lauren Del Ciello and Robin McCartney are regional finalists in the Print-Feature Series category, earned for “Special Report: A Look at Lead,” a three-part series examining lead contamination in water systems around the U.S.

Brands from SGC's sister company, SGC Horizon, were also named as finalists in the 2020 Azbee Awards of Excellence. Pro BuilderProfessional Remodeler and Construction Equipment, earned five nominations between them, for a total of nine finalist honors across the Scranton Gillette Companies.

Winners of the ASBPE Awards of Excellence will be named in regional and national award ceremonies later this spring.
