SGC Horizon’s Editorial Director Denise Dersin and Director of Sales Adam Grubb were recently honored as recipients of the 2017 Folio: 100 Award. These distinguished awards recognize 100 individuals who exhibit outstanding innovation and entrepreneurial leadership in media.
Dersin is at the editorial helm of the SGC Horizon Building Group’s fleet of print, digital and web products that deliver industry news and product information to professionals in residential construction. She oversees the content for Professional Builder, Custom Builder, PRODUCTS, and NKBA Innovation+Inspiration (the National Kitchen + Bath Association’s magazine), and co-authors Multifamily Design+Construction.
In her 30-year career in publishing, Dersin has won many prestigious journalism awards and in 2015 was the recipient of the inaugural Marianne Dekker Mattera Award, selected by the Jesse H. Neal Award committee, for outstanding mentorship.
Adam Grubb oversees sales for the SGC Horizon Building Group’s residential and commercial building print, digital, web products, and events, including the long-established and well-known Professional Builder’s Show Village at the annual NAHB International Builders’ Show.
Grubb’s direction of, and on-air interview talents in, SGC Horizon Productions’ Building Science and Inside Video Series were recognized with Min Finalist Awards for Best Video Series in 2015 and 2016.
The Folio: 100 Awards were presented at a networking reception during The Folio: Show in New York, at the Hilton Midtown, on October 9, 2017. Both Dersin and Grubb expressed their gratitude for being honored by their peers.
